This is the first piece from the new series I've been working on. Because I was creating it during the final weeks of August, it holds onto all that late-summer warmth but you can also see the deeper, richer textures of the changing season creeping in around the edges.
Its built with layered shapes, a lot of fine line work, and moody tones against soft pinks. To me, it feels like that exact moment summer starts to give way to fall.
